Adams County Sheriff’s Office Makes Arrest in JROC Double Homicide Investigation
NATCHEZ, MS – The Adams County Sheriff’s Office has made an arrest following an extensive investigation into the double homicide that occurred during the early morning hours of July 4, 2026, at JROC, located at 339 Lower Woodville Road.
At approximately 5:44 a.m., Adams County E-911 received multiple reports of shots fired at the business. Deputies, investigators, and emergency medical personnel responded immediately.
Upon arrival, deputies discovered Randolph Hannon, 32, and Michael Minor Jr., 31, deceased from gunshot wounds. A third victim, Lashonda Harris, sustained a gunshot wound to the face and was transported by private vehicle to Merit Health for treatment.
During the course of the investigation, detectives recovered surveillance video from inside and outside the establishment. The video appears to show that Michael Minor Jr. and Randolph Hannon were involved in a verbal altercation stemming from a dispute over an illegal dice game inside the club.
According to investigators, Minor briefly walked away before returning and called Hannon outside. As Hannon walked past Minor toward the exit, the video appears to show Minor producing a handgun and shooting Hannon multiple times, causing him to collapse inside the doorway.
Investigators further determined that as Minor attempted to flee through the front entrance after shooting Hannon, Jaquavious Norman, 21, of Roxie, Mississippi, opened fire from the rear of the building, shooting through an exterior wall. Minor was struck by the gunfire and died just outside the front entrance of the business. During the exchange of gunfire, Lashonda Harris was also grazed in the face.
Based on the evidence developed thus far, Norman has been arrested and charged with:
* Murder in the death of Michael Minor Jr.
* Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon for the shooting of Lashonda Harris
The investigation into the death of Randolph Hannon remains active. Detectives continue to review all evidence in consultation with the Adams County District Attorney’s Office to determine whether additional charges are warranted.
The Adams County Sheriff’s Office would like to extend its sincere appreciation to Sheriff Tom Tindell and the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office for their outstanding assistance during this investigation. Their deputies worked alongside Adams County investigators to successfully apprehend Jaquavious Norman in Franklin County without incident.
The Adams County Sheriff’s Office also thanks the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office for its assistance in the execution of a search warrant at Norman’s residence, where investigators recovered multiple firearms. Those firearms have been seized as evidence and will undergo further forensic examination as part of this ongoing investigation.
Sheriff Travis Patten stated:
“This case is an excellent example of what can be accomplished when law enforcement agencies work together. I want to personally thank Sheriff Tom Tindell and every member of the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office for their immediate response, professionalism, and unwavering support. Their assistance in apprehending the suspect and executing the search warrant was instrumental to this investigation. While one suspect is in custody, our work is not over. We remain committed to conducting a complete and thorough investigation to ensure that justice is served for the victims, their families, and our community.”
The Adams County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division continues to conduct interviews and pursue all available leads. Anyone with additional information, photographs, or video related to this incident is encouraged to contact the Adams County Sheriff’s Office at (601) 442-2752. Those wishing to remain anonymous may contact Southwest Mississippi Crime Stoppers at 1-888-442-5001.
The Adams County Sheriff’s Office extends its deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of Randolph Hannon and Michael Minor Jr. Additional information will be released as it becomes available and when doing so will not compromise the integrity of the ongoing investigation.
All persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Update on Search for Mrs. Juanita Robinson
This morning at approximately 8:00 a.m., multiple agencies and volunteers gathered at the Adams County Safe Room to continue the search for Mrs. Juanita Robinson, who had been missing since August 27, 2025. In attendance were members of the Adams County Sheriff’s Office, Natchez Police Department, Adams County Search and Rescue, Mississippi Department of Wildlife and Fisheries, Adams County Emergency Management, and family members of Mrs. Robinson. Before beginning today’s efforts, the group joined together in prayer for her recovery.
More than 50 volunteers arrived to assist in organized search efforts. Teams were assigned to different quadrants of Adams County, beginning at Mrs. Robinson’s last known location along Liberty Road.
At approximately 10:02 a.m., while traveling about two miles past South Palestine Road, I observed a disturbed area off Liberty Road near a gum tree bush. Upon further inspection, I discovered an overturned vehicle deep in the wooded area. The vehicle was confirmed to be Mrs. Robinson’s 2011 silver Toyota Corolla. Mrs. Robinson was located inside.
Additional units, the Natchez Fire Department, and Chop’s Wrecker Service responded to assist with recovery and extraction. Mrs. Robinson’s family, who had been present during the search, confirmed the vehicle belonged to her.
I want to personally thank every agency, investigator, volunteer, and family member who played a role in today’s efforts. In particular, ACSO Investigators Captain Rustin Cavin and Investigator Alicia Wimley worked tirelessly to retrace Mrs. Robinson’s steps using camera footage and phone records, which provided the critical information leading to today’s discovery. Their diligence, coupled with the collaboration and prayers of so many, brought this search to a close.
I also want to thank Mayor Dan Gibson and the Natchez Police Department for reaching out to our office for assistance. Their partnership and support ensured that all available resources were brought together in the effort to locate Mrs. Robinson.
On behalf of the Adams County Sheriff’s Office, I extend my deepest condolences to Mrs. Robinson’s family and loved ones. We ask the community to continue to keep them in your thoughts and prayers as they grieve and make the necessary arrangements to lay her to rest.
